Our Materials

We are an authenticity-first company, and the originality of our garments is essential to us. We believe all animals are entitled to humane treatment in life and death. Therefore we are deeply committed to ethical conduct when sourcing our materials and exclusively use those under the protection of CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

We are in love with it’s lightweight, finely grained texture and soft touch. It’s smooth feeling sets it apart from other leather types and provides our garments with their unique feel and fit.

The structure of calf leather is particularly firm and even. The grain is more delicate than that of the adult cattle, and it is one of the highest quality leathers. We use this leather for outerwear that is meant to be more robust.

We use Toscana lambskin in different variations due to its softness and durability. Also, Toscana sheepskin, due to the unique composition of its fine fibres, provides excellent warmth and is perfect for cold winter days. It regulates body temperature without overheating.

The Merino sheep grow wool that is very soft and delicate, making it comfortable next to the skin. Also, Merino wool is naturally long and makes for a more durable fibre.

Our preferred mink type is the female ranch mink. Mink is a very durable material which can last up to 20 years if treated right. Also, mink can be worked in many ways and is a genuinely timeless fur which goes never go out of style.

Sable Fur is considered the most exclusive and luxurious marten fur in the world. Our Sable is purchased in Russia, from the Government Trade Organization. It is deeply furred with even, silver-tipped guard hairs, making it silkier than mink. The colour is a rich brown with a blue cast.

Chinchilla is one of the softest fur types and has one of the highest hair densities available on the market. Due to its hair density, it is nearly impossible for parasites to inhabit chinchillas. We love its touch and feel.

Clarity of colour is essential in fox fur, as is the fullness and density of the underfur and soft sleekness of the guard hairs. It is deeply furred and has a silky, firm texture. We use red fox and silver fox furs from northern Canada and utilize them in a variety of applications from collars, to full fur garments.
